Shifting the Narrative from Aid to Sustainable Solutions

The Poverty, Inc. documentary provides a critical analysis of the aid industry and its effects on poverty reduction efforts. The film argues that foreign aid often perpetuates poverty by creating dependency, stifling local markets, and promoting corruption.

Shifting the Narrative from Aid to Sustainable Solutions

Buckminster Fuller was a renowned inventor, architect, and futurist who believed in the potential of technology to solve the world's problems. He advocated for a comprehensive, systems-based approach to design, emphasizing the need for holistic thinking and integration of diverse fields.

Pursuing Justice and Agreement for All

Benjamin Ferencz was an American lawyer and prosecutor who dedicated his life to seeking justice and promoting peace. He was the last living prosecutor from the Nuremberg Trials, where he helped bring Nazi war criminals to justice. Ferencz believed in the power of international law and a world where wars are replaced with negotiations and justice.
Each of these has in someway inspired the
conversation of #IsThereEnough

Embracing Individuality, Creativity, and Collaboration

The "Dancing Guy" video shows how one person can spark a movement by being the first follower of an idea and by encouraging others to join in. This relates to Isthereenough in that the organization is focused on promoting positive change and encouraging individuals to take action in creating a better world.

Finding Solutions Through a Shift in Economic Mindset"

Stephanie Kelton is an economist and author of the book "The Deficit Myth," which challenges traditional ideas about government spending and the national deficit. The book argues that governments that control their own currencies, like the United States, can create money to fund public programs without worrying about deficits, as long as the spending does not lead to inflation

MLK's Dream and Isthereenough's Vision: Empowering Communities and Achieving Equality"

Martin Luther King Jr. expressed in his "Letter from Birmingham Jail." Just as King advocated for a society where all individuals are treated fairly, regardless of race, gender, or economic status,

Marcia Martin

Discovering the Power Within: The Teachings of Marcia Martin
Life lives in the conversation
That phrase, "life lives in the conversation" was authored by Marcia Martin as consequential as any human being alive today in the success of what many people think of as the human potential movement, a global 20th century phenomenon that may prove to have seeded the tools we  need for leadership in meeting the challenges of the 21st. Marcia is fond of reminding us that life actually happens, and even transforms, by our conversation, something this campaign is built on demonstrating.
Marcia's self commitment to her work began consciously in her teens, and in her early 20's, she became one of the most visible and impactful members of the team that produced and scaled EST (later known as The Forum) to evolve into the transformational global phenomenon it became, a set of work that is still being studied in academia and which had the love and attention of a late age Buckminster Fuller. As a youth and future oriented organization of the 1970's, it created a resurgence in appreciation for, and even an expansion of,  Bucky's reach, helping him steer a new generation of social entrepreneurs that later influenced the work #IsThereEnough is currently doing.

Innovation as a Public Good

Mariana Mazzucato's book "The Entrepreneurial State" argues that governments play a vital role in driving innovation and economic growth by funding and supporting early-stage research and development that the private sector is unwilling or unable to undertake.

The Data-Driven Solution

Hans Rosling was a Swedish physician, academic, and public speaker who dedicated his life to using data and statistics to challenge people's misconceptions about global development and poverty. He founded the Gapminder Foundation to promote a fact-based worldview and educate the public about the realities of global health and prosperity.

The Power of Resourcefulness meets Agreement

The Apollo 13 mission is a classic example of how human ingenuity and determination can overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. When faced with the life-threatening situation of a damaged spacecraft, the team at NASA had to improvise and create a makeshift filter using the limited resources available to them. This required a collective effort and a shared sense of purpose, as everyone worked together to find a solution that would save the lives of the astronauts.

From Division to Unity

The documentary "Why We Hate" directed by Steven Spielberg explores the root causes of hatred and how it has affected humanity throughout history. It highlights the power of empathy, understanding, and communication to bridge divides and promote peace.

From Sapiens to Solutions

Yuval Harari is a historian and author who explores the history of the human race in his books, including "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind." His work examines how humans have evolved and developed over time, and how we have created complex systems and institutions that shape our societies.

Man's search..

Victor Frankl was a psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor who wrote the book "Man's Search for Meaning." In his book, Frankl argues that even in the most hopeless and desperate of circumstances, people can find meaning and purpose in their lives.

The Importance of social connections

Arthur Brooks is a social scientist who has extensively studied the connection between money and happiness. He has argued that while money is important for meeting basic needs, it has diminishing returns beyond a certain point. Instead, he suggests that happiness and well-being are more closely linked to social connections and a sense of purpose or meaning in life

From Profit to Purpose

Paul Polman's work towards the creation and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aligns with the mission of IsThereEnough to promote a sustainable and equitable world. The SDGs aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all,

The Future of Work and Solving Humanity's Problems

Andrew McAfee is an economist and author who focuses on the intersection of technology, business, and society. In his book "More From Less," he argues that the key to addressing environmental challenges such as climate change is not simply to consume less, but to use resources more efficiently. This means finding ways to produce more goods and services while using fewer resources.

Unleashing Collective Action

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and Isthereenough are aligned in their focus on creating a better world for everyone. The SDGs, adopted by the United Nations in 2015, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

From Maximum Security Prison to Global Inspiration for IsThereEnough

Ken Windes' story of transformation and liberation aligns closely with the core values of the Isthereenough organization. Through his work with Dr. Martin Gruder, Windes was able to break free from the constraints of his maximum security prison and transform not only his own life, but also the lives of countless other inmates and prison professionals.

Leave Them Wanting More

The question of #IsThereEnough has an entirely new twist when it comes to Seinfeld. How much Seinfeld was #enough, was the key question for an artist responsible for bringing his audience a rare thing of value that is arguably one of the 10 greatest entertainment phenomena of all time.  Jerry is asked by Oprah Winfrey in this video, "why did you end Seinfeld?" and his clear and articulate answer reveals that the things we value most are the things we do not have enough of.  Jerry wanted his audience to experience that value at its highest capability.

Unleashing Collective Action

Franklin D. Roosevelt, also known as FDR, was the 32nd President of the United States and served during a time of great economic and social turmoil, including the Great Depression and World War II. He is well known for his "fireside chats," radio broadcasts in which he spoke directly to the American people and inspired them to work together to overcome the challenges they faced.

Transforming Mindsets to Realize Abundance

Money & You is a global organization that offers entrepreneurship and personal development programs aimed at creating positive change in the world. The organization's philosophy is based on the teachings of R. Buckminster Fuller and emphasizes creating a sustainable and abundant future through collaboration, innovation, and integrity.

In the Middle

Finding middle ground is important when trying to find agreement because it allows for compromise and collaboration between different parties with varying perspectives and interests. Without compromise, it can be difficult to make progress or achieve a resolution that satisfies everyone involved. In today's increasingly polarized political landscape, it is especially important to recognize the value of finding common ground and working towards solutions that benefit the greater good. By focusing on shared values and interests, rather than emphasizing differences and division, it is possible to foster a more productive and cooperative environment.

Empowering Individuals to Create Global Change"

F.M. Alexander, founder of the Alexander Technique, believed that physical and mental health are closely linked, and that the way we use our bodies can greatly affect our overall well-being.
